How to Enable Notifications on YouTube
Some of you have requested help to enable notifications for your favorite YouTube channels. Over the last several months, many of you have commented that you’re not receiving notifications of new releases from this channel or some of the other channels that you’re subscribed to. In this video, I’ll quickly go over what you need to do to enable notifications from your computer and Android or iOS device.

Many people believe that when they subscribe to a YouTube channel, that they will receive notifications whenever that channel uploads a video but actually what happens when you subscribe is that you’ll get occasional notifications when that channel releases a new video.
To get notified every time, there’s an extra step that needs to be taken.
to demonstrate I’m currently on the Beebom homepage which is an excellent channel with a weekly show covering a variety of Tech topics. On your computer, after you have subscribed to the channel, you’ll want to make sure that you click the bell icon to switch
How to Enable Notifications on YouTube (2018)
With all selected you will now receive a notification for that channel for all uploads and live streams, you can choose whether to include creator posts and how you’re notified. the default for all my subscriptions is push only if no changes are needed, select save, if you need to change how you’re notified, select manage settings, more than halfway down the page, you’ll find channel subscriptions, select the drop-down menu your choices are push
and email, push only email, only or none, whichever you choose will become you
- the default setting for channels you’re subscribed to. enable notifications in the YouTube app on iOS or Android. the steps are similar after subscribing to a channel, tap the Bell notification icon. & tap on options near the bottom of the screen, but the same choices mentioned earlier, choosing all, will get you notifications for all uploads and live streams, from that channel, and selecting none means that you won’t receive any notifications from that channel.
you also have the choice to include creator posts. when you’re done
select okay, for a full list of notification settings select the three menu icon in the upper
right. Tap on settings then select notifications here you can manage your
notification settings across all channels. hopefully, this Article helped you
